On-line Game Manual and Hintbook
--------------------------------

Frederik Pohl's Gateway includes files which may be of
assistance to you as you play the game. These files are:

HINTBOOK.TXT - the hintbook to the game

Known Bugs in Gateway
---------------------

As difficult as it is to believe, there are one or two itsy-bitsy, little
tiny bugs lurking in Gateway. Of course, you'll never run into them,
but if you did, this is what you would find:

Windows 95 sometimes plays pranks on you and tells you that it doesn't like
Gateway. It tells you to run in DOS to play icky old DOS games. We
recommend that you tell Windows 95 that you are going to anyway, and click
on the game in the taskbar to continue playing.

In order to get the missing course code for Aleph, you need to make sure you
are in the Lecture Room T52 prior to the beginning of the Green Badge Briefing
at 9:00 a.m. DON'T BE LATE. Nobody will be admitted after the doors close, and
nobody will be permitted to leave during the final five minutes. And please...
don't reveal the game's ending to ANYbody.
