Digger was originally created by Windmill software in 1983 and released as a copy-protected, bootable 5.25" floppy disk for the IBM PC/XT. As it requires a genuine CGA card, it didn't work on modern PCs. In 1998 a new version was created by Andrew Jenner which runs on all PCs with CGA or better and, whilst retaining all the atmosphere and playability of the original, has many new features.

Played this in the 80s on a monochrome monitor... didn't find out about the ability to shoot until years later lol. was surprised to see it in color years after that. a few decades later, the windows compatible version made it possible to edit your own levels and control the speed... I use my Razer keyboard macros to do this with a shortcut, making it possible to play endlessly and win every time with practice. It's my zen time.

great game.....max score 98000..

it is wunnerful but the Chromebook I play it on has no f1 key so I can't shoot

I played this game back in the 80's I only recently learned that pressing F1 will fire at the bags guys.

Level 8 is the next level to fight

great graphics for 1988

It is a very well done game for the time, but too difficult. I never get past level 5. Original comment: Es un juego muy bien hecho para la época, pero demasiado difícil. Nunca paso del nivel 5.
